Breganze Cabernet 2021 Veneto IGT - Maculan

The Venetian red Cabernet Maculan is a linear wine, which presents the varietal in its classicism. The aromas on the nose are in fact traditional and tell of a soul where the primary scent is embodied by green pepper on a background essentially consisting of fruity notes, a prelude to a dry and fresh drink, enlivened by soft and well-worked tannins. A label that is striking for the excellent quality-price ratio with which it is proposed, very interesting! Cabernet Maculan comes from those vineyards located on the hills of Breganze. Here the vines are carefully cultivated by the winery team, growing in a terroir that is characterized by the presence of a volcanic subsoil where tuff abounds. The bunches are selected during the manual harvest, and after the destemming the grapes go to the pressing phase. The must obtained from this operation ferments in stainless steel tanks, with continuous pumping over. The refinement phase takes place first for 12 months in steel tanks and then, once the bottling operations - which do not require any filtration - have been completed for a further 6 months in glass. The Cabernet red wine made by the Maculan winery presents itself to the eye with a cheerful ruby color, crossed by some light flashes tending to purple, visible in the nail. The range of notes that envelops the nose moves on fruity notes and typically varietal references - where the green pepper plays the part of the protagonist - alternating with light nuances of hazelnut. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with a really pleasant refreshing sip, in which the tannic texture is worked with grace, integrating perfectly into the general structure of the wine. Delicate and captivating, it is perfect on the table in combination with a land menu.
