Cantalupi Rosso Salice Salentino DOP 2019 - Conti Zecca

The Cantalupi Rosso of the Conti Zecca winery is a velvety, full-bodied wine, tannic to the right point. The company is located in the territory of Salice Salentino, in the province of Lecce, where it is dedicated to the wine business in full respect of the environment and eco-sustainability. Viticulture is favored by the particular soil of the area, of an alluvial nature and characterized by a peculiar limestone composition. The winery is based on a deep cult of the terroir, tradition and the past, without renouncing the most innovative techniques of cultivation and processing of the product. For the Cantalupi Rosso we use Negroamaro grapes, native to Salento. The main vine is integrated with Malvasia grapes, according to some originating from the island of Malta. After fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks, the wine is left to refine in resin-coated concrete containers: this phase helps to accentuate the overall harmony of the product. In the glass we have an intense ruby red tending to take on pleasant garnet reflections with aging. On the nose, intense aromas of fruit with spicy notes. In the mouth, the wine is velvety, intense, harmonious, rightly tannic.
