Questo Single Malt nasce dalle pure acque delle Highlands scozzesi e dall’orzo maltato, ottenuto dalla macerazione e successiva asciugatura del cereale. A seguito del "mashing", in cui l’orzo viene miscelato con l’acqua, si passa alla distillazione, che avviene in distillatori particolarmente allungati. Quest’ultimi, permettendo il passaggio dei soli vapori più puri dal distillatore al condensatore, crea un whisky più fresco e leggero, che successivamente affina 18 anni nelle botti di quercia di pregiata qualità .
Già dal colore si può notare il lungo affinamento in botte, che dona a questo whisky una particolare sfumatura dorata brillante. Gli aromi che si presentano al naso sono complessi: ricche nuances di legno, fiori e speziate sul finale.
