Mead is a fermented honey, an "ancestral wine" because it is the result of ancient recipes. It is prepared by Essentiae by letting the Lunigiana millefeuille honey dissolved in water ferment. Scented with honey and white flowers, it is sweet and enveloping, it is excellent with cheeses, desserts, nougats and dried fruit. The low alcohol content makes it an original meditation wine. Alcohol 15%. Serving temperature 8/10° C.

The essence of this product is given by a mix between water and honey, to obtain the alcoholic fermentation. In ancient times it was a symbol of immortality; in the Middle Ages it was customary to give newly wed couples a quantity of mead sufficient for one moon (one month), this would have favored fertility and procreation, especially for the birth of a male heir.
