A very clear cherry colored wine. The fruity sensations are predominant on the nose with particular recognition of undergrowth fruits and ripe cherries. In the mouth it is fresh and well balanced, it finds slightly tannic notes that do not betray the origin from red grape variety.
Production area: Own vineyards located on the southern slope of the municipality of Colonella. Grapes: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Soil: clayey, medium texture. Poor. Average vineyard altitude: mt. 250 slm Vinification: Vinification in white, refrigeration and static decantation of the must. Alcoholic fermentation at a temperature between 17°-20°. Only in years that are particularly poor in color do we proceed to a short chromomaceration at very low temperatures. Maturation: in steel containers, at a constant temperature, under a nitrogen charge until bottling which usually takes place before the summer. Analytical data: Alcohol content: 12.5% Vol. Serving temperature and method: 14 - 16° C. Organoleptic characteristics: Colour: Very clear cherry-red colour. Perfume: Fresh and well balanced, it rediscovers slightly tannic notes that do not betray the origin from a red mouth grape variety. Warm and balanced body. Taste: Dry with a sour note when young which gives the wine excellent characteristics of longevity. Soft-bodied, fragrant with intense and persistent fruit. Pairings: It goes perfectly with fish dishes, not disdaining light meat dishes and some soft, non-spicy cheeses.
