Over 80% of the ingredients are of Irish origin. The cream, supplied by two companies, is produced with milk from around 40,000 cows raised on 1500 farms on the Irish east coast; the whiskey, supplied by "The Old Midleton Distillery" of County Cork, is a blend of three whiskeys. Within 36 hours of milking, the milk cream is mixed with whiskey, after which the flavorings are added: cocoa, vanilla, caramel and sugar.
