Each individual vintage has been specially selected from the finest stocks of Scottish single malts from rare or new silent distilleries. The limited bottlings of these rare and unique whiskeys are naturally strength for the true connoisseur's enjoyment. Brora 1982. Founded in 1819 by the future Duke of Sutherland, Brora was one of Scotland's first purpose-built malt distilleries. It closed in 1983. To best enjoy this golden 20-year-old Northern Highland barrel-aged single malt, measure one part whiskey to two parts still water at room temperature. Any slight cloudiness is normal in an unfiltered cask-strength malt. When tasting, notice the fresh, marine aromas and the smooth, oil-like body. Malty and sweeter on the palate than other bottlings; a wonderful coastal malt with a long, dry, peppery finish."
