Lagavulin celebrates with the extremely limited version aged 8 years. This 8-year-old whiskey celebrates both its 200th birthday and the visit of Alfred Barnard (a famous whiskey journalist), who fell in love with this 8-year-old Lagavulin during his visit to the distillery. Tasting notes Aroma: silky and clean start, with delicate nuances of Alpine milk chocolate and citrus fruits; followed by spicy smoke and a light cereal sea breeze. Taste: airy, slightly sweet, very smoky, increasing spiciness. It becomes drier and is immediately rounded off by an even more intense smoke. Finish: again very clear and pure, with a great smokey finish.
