Description
From the desire to make a Bordeaux blend in a local key, one of the most original labels of the Masciarelli house is born. Rosso Terre di Chieti IGT Castello di Semivicoli is a refined blend of Montepulciano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, produced by three high-density guyot plants in Casacanditella (CH), from which 80 quintals of grapes are harvested. The particular type of soil, marnitic, clayey and rich in skeleton, and the suggestive position halfway between the peak of the Maielletta (about 2,200 meters) and the Adriatic sea, which deeply influences the climate of the Theatine hills, allow to obtain a wine of character, with a velvety and extremely enjoyable body. Fermented and aged in stainless steel only for at least two years, Castello di Semivicoli's Rosso Terre di Chieti IGT surprises with its aromatic depth ranging from primary notes of raspberry, plum and orange peel to spices. The body is full , round and structured with soft and juicy tannins that give tension and a nice austerity; the finish is savory and fruity. A wine to drink immediately or keep in the cellar.
