The Vigna d'Alfiero is born from Sangiovese grapes from one of our historic vineyards planted in the late 60s by the first farmer and reference figure of the Valdipiatta Estate Alfiero Carpini. Produced only in the best vintages, the Vigna d'Alfiero knows how to combine the richness, elegance and finesse of Sangiovese with the decisive character imprinted by the corporate terroir.

Maceration on the skins for 20-25 days. Daily pumping over and délestage at the beginning and mid-fermentation. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Maturation and aging After a period of aging of 15-18 months in 500 liter French oak tonneaux and/or 30 Hl Slavonian oak barrels, the wine is left to age in the bottle for a further 6-12 months . Recommended pairings Structured and important dishes such as pasta with game-based sauces, mushrooms or truffles, grilled and stewed red meats, baked or stewed game, roasts and aged cheeses.
