Vigna Rionda Etichetta Nera Barolo Riserva DOCG 2016 - Massolino

There are few producers who have had the opportunity – or perhaps the great fortune – to work in such a special vineyard, part of which we have owned since 1956. It is a great responsibility for us to deal with the great wines to which the vineyard Rionda was the birthplace, also paying homage to the work of those who preceded us, to their effort and their sacrifices. The uniqueness of the 2016 vintage prompted us to honor what Vigna Rionda represents for our family: and therefore here is the black label, a wine of inestimable value for us. From a climatic point of view, the 2016 vintage was characterized by a water and thermal balance that has hardly been found in recent years. The decidedly long vegetative cycle and the large temperature variations that accompanied the entire season gave wines of a very rare completeness and depth. Vigna Rionda, as a true champion, has been able to reach unique levels of complexity this year. This is why a real awe makes us unable to bring back the organoleptic notes that you would all expect to find here. In fact, we think it is not only limiting to describe this tasting experience in a few lines, but simply impossible!
