The reserve has a ruby red color with garnet reflections, the nose is fine and intense with notes of violet and licorice. In the mouth it is dry, powerful and sapid with velvety tannins and good residual acidity. We expect this wine to develop well over 20 years.
The Riserva version of Ghemme is produced only in thousandths of agronomic excellence, in other words, when the weather-climatic characteristics allow to obtain impeccable and perfectly ripe grapes. Only if it is found that the wine is exceptional, then it is bottled with the denomination Riserva. The 2009 vintage is the second Riserva in the history of Torraccia. The yield is only 5,000 kg per hectare.
