The Veneto IGT "Fratta", from the Maculan winery, was born in an area totally suited to the cultivation of vines: it is the municipality of Breganze, in the province of Vicenza, characterized by fertile soils and a mild hilly climate. Thanks to such conditions, the grapes reach the correct stage of ripeness and are used as raw material for fine and refined wines. The red in question is balanced, but at the same time complex, rich in tannins and with a long and persistent finish. We are talking about a wine that optimally represents its terroir and shows the company's desire to achieve excellent results with modern techniques. For the Veneto IGT "Fratta" we use Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines, both of French origins, but widespread all over the world and, in particular, in this area of Veneto. The working method of the Maculan winery involves manual harvesting in boxes and fermentation in steel in contact with indigenous yeasts. The process is completed by an aging of one year in oak barriques, thanks to which the flavors of Veneto IGT "Fratta" are further harmonized with each other. In the glass: very rich ruby red with purple hues. On the nose, the scent is very intense of red berries, blueberry and raspberry, with particular notes of spices. In the mouth, the wine is balanced, rich in sweet tannins that blend to give remarkable structure and elegance to the wine.
