VARIETY Merlot 100% - Cru of Merlot.
TYPE OF SOIL Stony soil rich in Galestro, with medium-textured silt and clay.
AGE OF VINES 10-15 years
VINIFICATION Vinified only in the most significant years. Selection of the best Merlot grapes from only two plots. Partial fermentation in wood.
TRAINING SYSTEM Spurred cordon
COLOR Purplish red
BOUQUET Rich and complex, of berries, cinchona, licorice, tobacco, cocoa, vanilla and dried flowers.
PAIRING Cold cuts and aged cheeses, first courses with meat sauces. Particularly suitable for grilled red meats, stews in general and game.
TASTE On the palate the aromatic component evolves towards tobacco and chocolate, with a light note of caramel. Round, full-bodied and intense.
NOTES Opulent, rich and intense, it has an incredible persistence and a long potential: a great Supertuscan.
AGING One year of aging in Allier tonneaux (50% of second and third passage). Rest in the bottle for at least 12 months.
