Di-vèrto Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC 2021 - Torre dei Beati

THE VINEYARD | Half a hectare of vineyard in Francavilla al Mare, on sandy soil, entirely surrounded by woods. The breeding system is the classic marquee, the plants are about 25 years old, the slope is ferocious. The peculiarity of these bunches, explains Fausto, is in the size of the grapes, significantly reduced compared to the average of the variety. When they reach full maturity they take on almost pink hues. The name of the wine, diverto, takes us back to the Latin meaning: to amuse, to turn elsewhere, it is in fact an experiment carried out by a company that over the years has delighted us with an exquisitely territorial range and very serious constancy over time. THE PEOPLE | Adriana Galasso and Fausto Albanesi's project started in 1999, when the two decided to change their lives to start producing wine. We are in Loreto Aprutino, one of the capitals of Abruzzo wine: the vineyard is made up of over twenty hectares, managed organically, at about 300 meters above sea level on the first foothills of the Apennines, with the microclimate influenced by the currents that arrive both from the Gran Sasso , and from the Adriatic. Montepulciano, trebbiano and pecorino constitute the ampelographic platform from which Fausto and Adriana draw the excellent raw material for their expressive and spontaneous labels.
