Sylvaner Riserva "Alte Reben" is the spearhead of a range of high-level wines produced by the South Tyrolean Pacherhof winery. Sylvaner is one of the most representative grape varieties of the Isarco Valley, certainly the one capable of giving the most elegant and refined wines. Fruit of an old vineyard that produces superior quality grapes, this label represents the maximum expression of this grape and one of the most interesting white wines in the region. A perfect synthesis of finesse, complexity and longevity, it is a bottle for connoisseurs, absolutely to be discovered."Alte Reben" Sylvaner Riserva Pacherhof was born in one of the oldest realities in the area. The Maso has belonged to the family since 1142 and the splendid area of Novacella, located above Bressanone, has been the cradle of fine mountain viticulture for centuries. The very cool climate and the strong temperature variations have always proved to be an ideal habitat for the vines of northern Europe, which have lived in these lands for centuries. Today the Pacherhof estate is managed by Andreas Huber, who cultivates eight hectares of vineyards in splendid hilly exposures and produces great artisan wines. The vineyards are managed with the utmost respect for the environment using organic and biodynamic agriculture practices. The grapes come from a historic vineyard located at an altitude of 650 metres, which produces a few bunches of exceptional aromatic concentration. At the end of the manual harvest the grapes are gently pressed. The classic fermentation in white is followed by an 8-month aging in large oak barrels.The Sylvaner Riserva "Alte Reben" by Pacherhof is an intense and elegant white, already very pleasant to drink young, but which expresses all its aromatic potential after a few years of aging in the bottle. In the glass it has a straw-white color with bright reflections. The olfactory profile is extraordinarily fine, with aromas of Golden apple, pear, cartridge melon, nuances of wild flowers, medicinal herbs and freshly cut hay. On the palate it is harmonious and finely multifaceted, with delicate aromas, which accompany a long, fresh and savory finish.
