Franciacorta DOCG Extra Brut Riserva Palazzo Lana Extreme 2011 cassa legno - Berlucchi

GRAPES 100% Pinot Noir, coming from two proprietary vineyards, grown at high planting density, in Borgonato: Diecicipiò, on the hill, and Brolo, overlooking Palazzo Lana Berlucchi. SURRENDER 9,200 kg of grapes per hectare, with a must yield of 25% equivalent to 3060 bottles per hectare. WINEMAKING The "heart" of the free-run must, obtained from soft and progressive pressing, carries out alcoholic fermentation in steel vats; at the end, some batches are transferred to oak barriques, where they refine for 6 months in contact with the yeasts. MATURATION Preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, with 100% wines of the vintage chosen from the best selections. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent refinement in contact with yeasts for at least 10 years, followed by at least 6 months after disgorgement. DOSAGE Extra Brut. FORMATS 750 ml bottle and 1.5 l Magnum. ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: VISUAL APPEARANCE Copious foam, persistent crown, very fine perlage. ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: COLOR Intense straw yellow, with rose gold reflections. ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: FRAGRANCE Broad olfactory sensations, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruits and candied orange. ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: TASTE On the palate it stands out for its great freshness, clean taste and structure, all harmonized by minerality and acidity, which determine great persistence and important longevity. COMBINATIONS It is a Riserva with excellent body, which pairs nicely with dishes rich in structure and flavour. It can accompany important first courses, stewed fish second courses and meat second courses.
