Following the distillation process, an aging is carried out, in oak barrels, lasting about four years, which is finally followed by bottling. Aqua Vitae is the result of the collaboration between Gioacchino Nannoni's Artisan Distillery, which directly takes care of the entire distillation, aging and bottling process, and the Montevertine Agricultural Company, supplier of the raw material. We think that, given the particular characteristics of this product (amber colour, softness on the palate and on the nose), the term "grappa" is a bit reductive. When tasting Aqua Vitae, other types of distillates come to mind, such as Armagnac for example.
