Very warm golden yellow color, similar to honey. On the nose it presents explosive aromas of aromatic herbs, resin, honey and toasted dried fruit such as hazelnut and almond, combined with malty and slightly smoky sensations. In the mouth it has a good balance, with an entry that expresses sweetness but which shortly after turns towards strong smoky sensations that leave the mouth dry, dry and with a moderate persistence.
John Cumming purchased the license for his distillery in 1824, but he and his wife had been producing whiskey illegally for 13 years. Located in one of the best locations in Speyside, to the north of a hill overlooking the picturesque Scottish valleys, the distillery, also owner of the famous Johnnie Walker brand, was one of the first to specialize in whiskey blends, always preferring quality to quantity; the malt is among the finest of all, grown in the valleys adjacent to the company and roasted at the company itself, it is the result of numerous experiments and research with an eye always focused on tradition. Cardhu Whiskey has an enveloping and clear taste, defined by the distillery itself as "silky", and precisely for this characteristic, known and appreciated throughout the world.
