One of the last remaining distilleries in the Lowlands, Glenkinchie's location among barley fields, just 30km from the frenetic life of the capital, has given it the name "Edinburgh Malt". Its light character is derived from distillation in some of Scotland's largest stills; Matured for 12 years, the result is a light, flowery whiskey with a fresh and creamy scent. "Sweet and creamy with a light aromatic hint." Dave Broom, writer and whiskey expert.
