The Oban distillery was founded at the end of the 18th century and developed together with the city of the same name, in the western Highlands of Scotland, by the brothers John and Hugh Stevenson; today the Oban distillery is owned by Diageo and is one of the smallest in Scotland with only two stills.
PRODUCTION METHOD
The "Oban aged 16 years" is a single malt produced from a careful selection of raw materials, barley, malting made with peat from the region and the waters of the lakes of the city of Ardconnel; the careful aging process then involves the use of only used high-quality oak barrels for bourbon and sherry.
