The Veneto IGT "Fratta", from the Maculan winery, was born in an area totally suited for the cultivation of vines: it is the municipality of Breganze, in the province of Vicenza, characterized by fertile soils and a mild hilly climate. Thanks to similar conditions, the grapes reach the correct stage of ripeness and are used as raw material for fine and refined wines. The red in question is balanced, but at the same time complex, rich in tannins and with a long and persistent finish. We are talking about a wine that optimally represents its terroir and demonstrates the company's desire to achieve excellent results with modern techniques. For the Veneto IGT "Fratta" Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines are used, both of French origins, but widespread throughout the world and, in particular, in this area of the Veneto. The working method of the Maculan cellar involves manual harvesting in crates and fermentation in steel in contact with indigenous yeasts. The process is completed by a one-year refinement in oak barriques, thanks to which the flavors of the Veneto IGT "Fratta" are further harmonized with each other. By the glass: very rich ruby red with violet hues. On the nose, the aroma is very intense of red berries, blueberry and raspberry, with particular notes of spices. In the mouth, the wine is balanced, rich in sweet tannins that blend to give the wine a remarkable structure and elegance.

NOTES Maculan Fratta represents the winery's most prestigious label, the spearhead of the production, created to fulfill Fausto Maculan 's dream of creating a great red for aging. Always a lover of Bordeaux wines, an essential oenological reference for those who grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the innovative project involved all the components of the company. Aware that a large bottle can only be born in the vineyard, the plots with the best exposures were selected. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from a vineyard located in the Ferrata area cultivated with very high density, while the Merlot grapes come from the Villa Elettra vineyard, planted in 1999 on a slope facing east, south-east.
