Wine: Red Table Grapes: Montepulciano 50% - Sangiovese 50% Notes: It is the simple "Red" wine of our territory; we are close to the Marches and therefore it is natural to have here in addition to Montepulciano also Sangiovese which is the most typical red grape of the province of Ascoli with which we border. The older plot of vines inherited and planted by Alfonso between 1945 and 1950 was a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese, always with great management problems as the two varieties develop and ripen differently, anticipating the Sangiovese and delaying the Montepulciano. The wine that was obtained was not a "solid" red as Montepulciano normally is, but lighter, more fragrant, ultimately more drinkable to be consumed preferably young. Characteristics: Transparent ruby red colour, aromas of red fruit, soft. Pairings: In the Julian tradition, it also goes well with our fish soup or white meats. Serving temperature: 14/16° but it can also be a summer aperitif and then 10/12° degrees will do: 13%
