TYPE OF SOIL The soils are clayey and rich in skeleton, the average altitude of the vines is 230 meters. above sea level.

VINIFICATION The vinification takes place, with traditional methodology, in modern thermo-conditioned cement tanks, indigenous yeasts (pied de cuve), prolonged maceration times on the skins (15-18 days) at controlled temperatures of 27-29 ° C. The extraction of polyphenols is obtained by frequent pumping over alternating with manual de´lestages.

TRAINING SYSTEM Double Guyot.

COLOR Intense ruby red.

BOUQUET The nose is expressed on fruity wavelengths, with references to spicy aromas, all on fine wood nuances.

PAIRING Savory pies, stewed meat, mushroom risotto.

TASTE On the palate it is of medium structure, round, with fine and subtle tannins, with a good taste pleasantness to ennoble the drink.

NOTES The Sangiovese "Badilante" of Podere 414 is a red wine dedicated to the memory of the people who have tilled the lands that run through the Maremma over the course of the seasons: the badilanti. These tireless workers have traveled these arduous areas of Tuscany with great constancy and intensity, moving with respect and making few cultivable plots accessible to man.

AGING The wine is aged in cement tanks and 5 hectoliters oak tonneaux.
