We can't get enough of the primitive that Bollina produces in Italy. This one has an insane 98 points from Luca Maroni and comes from Manduria, a small region in the heel of the boot known for variety. The fruit is harvested by hand and made a little late to increase concentration, potency and wealth. There's blackberry, cherry and plum with a backbone of tobacco, mocha and cocoa. This is not wine for the faint of heart, but rather for those who want something thick and dark in their glass.
