Coming from the small "Parafada" vineyard, just over one hectare in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, this Barolo by Massolino is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 30 months, with rest in the bottle for about a year. Parafada is the most floral expression of Serralunga d'Alba: a closed, austere Barolo that over the years will make lovers of this great Italian red dream.
TASTING NOTES Intense and bright garnet red color. The nose marvels with aromas of red fruits and spices, with an elegant floral note. Austere, expressive, very mineral palate, it develops on hints of clove and cinnamon. The tight tannins and the magnificent structure show a great aging capacity. Persistent, elegant finish with notes of small red fruits.PAIRINGS Massolino's Barolo Parafada 2011 goes wonderfully with refined red meat dishes: stewed or grilled meat, roasts and braised meats. If aged, also magnificent with aged cheeses.CELLAR Winery founded in Serralunga d'Alba in 1896 by the hand of Giovanni Massolino, that of Massolino is a cellar that developed particularly in the 1930s, when his son ... go to the cellar details
