The first wine ever produced in Montalcino by combining Sangiovese and Merlot grapes. Associating the roundness and softness of the second with the structure and elegance of the first might seem obvious, yet never before had it been accomplished. Only thanks to the collaboration of the Marchesi de ' Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi families, this innovative work was carried out in the land of Brunello di Montalcino, a world-famous wine made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes. Since 2002 the responsibility has passed entirely into the hands of Lamberto Frescobaldi who continues to write the history of Luce in the land of Brunello di Montalcino. More than twenty years have passed since that moment, today Luce continues to celebrate that uniqueness that has made it famous all over the world.
