The great Supertuscan, proud and lonely as a wild in his territory.

This exceptional red wine is a rather recent expression of the potential of Argiano viticulture compared to its Sangiovese-based red wines. 'Solengo', which in Tuscan means 'solitary boar', comes from the combination of Tuscan soil and French blends: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. It is the result of the "creation" of the former world-famous winemaker Giacomo Tachis who now continues in the work of the Argiano team.

Solengo is a modern, well-balanced and full-bodied wine. It has an intense dark purple color with a bouquet of ripe fruits, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, infused with toasted oak. It is soft on the palate, with a great concentration of lush fruit, well balanced with its delicate, soft tannins. The structure and complexity are exceptional on the palate, tempered by excellent tannic extracts. This high-profile blend has clear Mediterranean characteristics and a sunny character. Its grace and delicacy allow it to be drunk young, however, the wine has an extraordinary capacity for aging.
