VINIFICATION The vinification is the typical one of our Montepulciano dAbruzzo, that is a maceration with the skins lasting 15 days. Subsequently the wine was decanted into wooden barrels and left to rest for at least 5 years. Lomanegra currently on the market is created with a blend of 2 different vintages of this wine, 2008 and 2009. We are faced with the most precious interpretation of the Montepulciano dAbruzzo grape conceived by Rosarubra . Created from a blend of two different vintages of Montepulciano dAbruzzo, it features the best fruit selected and harvested individually from the oldest vineyards of the estate. With a dense, garnet color, visually occupied by an extraordinary extractive richness deriving from late harvesting in the vineyard, it amazes the nose for its full fruit integrity, for the slight hints of harmonious woody tannin and for its incomparable chocolate aromas. Full and round, it offers unparalleled sensations of tannic elegance to the mouth and an extraordinary gustatory softness. Son of the stony earth is Rosarubra 's iconic wine.
