Grape variety : Montepulciano dAbruzzo DOCG. Production area : Colonnella, Ancarano, Roseto degli Abruzzi. Vinification : The hand-picked grapes from the vineyards located in the higher altitude areas are placed in small boxes and transported to the cellar. Here we carry out the manual selection of the bunches and the destemming. The grapes, once selected, are not pressed, but are transferred by gravity to steel vats where fermentation begins, which develops at a temperature of 24 ° C for 11-14 days. Subsequently the malolactic fermentation takes place directly in barriques of fine American woods with light toasting. Idea del Vino : Wine for young, demanding consumers looking for high quality products at very affordable prices. Sensory characteristics : Intense red color with violet reflections. Complex with hints ranging from red fruit to balsamic, from chocolate to spicy. Wine of remarkable structure, very full-bodied and rich in tannins, but well balanced thanks to the long aging in wood. The wine placed on the market is ready to drink, but the remarkable structure allows the wine to remain intact even after several years.
