Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Pianrosso di Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is produced only in the best years and exclusively with grapes from the Pianrosso vineyards. It is the wine that has always authoritatively represented the terroir and the name of the company. The grapes to be used for the Riserva type are also selected from these vineyards.

TYPE OF SOIL Medium-textured and marl soils of Eocene origin between 240 and 360 meters above sea level
VINIFICATION In stainless steel containers and vitrified cement tanks at a controlled temperature by means of cooling jackets and immersion plates.
TRAINING SYSTEM Spurred cordon.
COLOR Ruby red tending to garnet.
BOUQUET Intense and complex aromas. Sensations of ripe red berry fruit are completed with various spicy notes.
PAIRINGS It goes well with refined main courses based on red meats or game. Excellent with aged cheeses, excellent with a crusted venison fillet and with hare in red wine.
TASTE The palate is warm, harmonious with pronounced tannins; a full-bodied wine with a long taste-olfactory persistence that can still evolve with a long aging in the bottle.
NOTES Produced only in the best years with grapes from the Pianrosso vineyards, it is a wine that has always represented the terroir and the name of the company.
AGING In 20 to 62 hl Slavonian oak barrels for about 3 years and an aging in bottle for more than 8 months
