VARIETY 100% nerello mascalese

TYPE OF SOIL Volcanic rich in skeleton. Dark soil born from the disintegration of ancient lava flows coming from the volcano.

AGE OF VINEYARDS Ancient vines aged over 60 years with the presence of some specimens prefillossera.

VINIFICATION 50% yield in must, fermentation with intense maceration of the skins for a minimum of 40 days.

COLOR Bright and compact ruby red color.

BOUQUET With ample aromas of red fruit and spices.

TASTE In the mouth it perfectly combines exuberance and harmony: it proves to be a splendid example of integrity and sweetness of tannin, calibrated in an optimal context of freshness and flavor.

NOTES A wine with ample and intense aromas of small red fruits, sweet spices, with pleasant lava hints, and with a warm and structured taste, soft and well balanced, persistent and very elegant.

AGING 24 months in tonneaux with spontaneous malolactic fermentation, subsequent refinement in the bottle until reaching the maximum expression of the wine and the territory.
