Red wine of typical Sulcis grapes with a modest addition of French varieties vinified in purity from the spurred cordon vineyards grown in the lower Sulcis in the vineyards of Narcao and Barrua. The quality of the Sulcitane red grapes is excellent not only for its colour, but also for the softness of its extractive components.

VINIFICATION Manual harvest, which begins in early September and ends in the first half of October. The must ferments with the skins at a temperature between 25 and 30 degrees in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of about 15 days. mass is subjected to periodic pumping over which facilitate the passage into solution of the compounds present in the marc. The malolactic fermentation confers characteristics of softness to the wine.

NOTES Barrua is a great red, together with Turriga and Terre Brune, other creatures of Tachis, therefore to be considered among the greatest wines of the island for finesse, balance, harmony and persistence: in addition to being a real wine to meditation, especially when you have had the foresight to let it rest in the cellar, literally forgetting it for years, it is a wine that knows how to find its ideal match with the great meat dishes of the Italian and French culinary tradition.
AGING Aging in new French oak barriques for about 18 months. It then rests in glass for at least 6 months.
