Tuscan Vinsanto… a wine whose origins are lost in the mists of time. Vinsanto in Tuscany is such an important wine full of meaning that it was difficult to buy, it was an ambition to make it at home with your own hands; in every family there was a person in charge of this art, usually the father or grandfather. The hypothesized origins of this exquisite drink, as well as those of its singular name are different and are lost in the mists of time. A Sienese legend says that in the 14th century a friar distributed a wine that healed the sick, hence the belief that it was a miraculous wine, "Santo". However, it cannot be excluded that the name "holy" derives from the use that has always been made of it during Mass.

Description
Grapes used Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia minimum 70% and other white berried varieties.
Vinification Obtained from the juice of grapes placed to dry on special racks and then fermented very slowly in small barrels during the winter.
Maturation For all these years, a part has remained in traditional chestnut "caratelli" and a part in small oak barrels and barrels placed in different sites in our companies. Bottled after being brought together in a single body.
Aging in the bottle In an underground room at a natural constant temperature.
Color beautiful golden yellow color with antique tones.
Perfume Intense and varied perfume with countless scents ranging from apricot jam to peach jam, walnut husk, up to the aromatics of Malvasia which are still present.
Taste Sweet but not cloying, complex and very intense balsamic and ethereal fragrances that remain in the mouth for a long time after tasting it.
Service temperature 13-15°C.
Food pairings Meditation and dessert wine, to accompany traditional sweets and great cheeses, including blue ones.
