Moscatello di Castiglione Angelucci is a natural passito wine obtained from the original “Casauriense biotype” clone, cultivated between 250 and 350 meters on medium-loose soils in the Casauria area, about 40 km away. from the sea and close to the mountains.
Moscatello passito Angelucci Vini Wine name: Moscatello passito. Typology: Sweet raisin white wine. Denomination: Coline Pescaresi IGT (Typical Geographical Indication). Grapes: Moscatello 100%. Alcohol content: 13.5% vol. Soil composition: clayey-calcareous. Vineyard altitude: 250-350 asl. Yield per hectare: 65 quintals. Bottles produced: 15,000 per year on average. Harvest period: First ten days of September. Withering: Natural on the plant for 7-15 days, depending on the vintage. Fermentation: One part in steel and one part in small oak barrels. Refinement: In the bottle. Appearance: Brilliant color, deep straw yellow, with golden notes. Smell: Very complex, delighted by brushstrokes of candied citrus fruits, wisteria, apricot tart, peach jam, stewed apple and honey. Taste test: Deliciously sweet and indelible on the palate. Pairing: With moldy cheeses or dry sweets or simply alone in small sips to pleasantly discover the thousand aromas. Service temperature: 10°C- 12°C. Bottle: 0.5l.
