Custoza San Michelin Gorgo made from Garganega grapes comes from the old San Michelin vineyard and elegantly interprets the character and qualities of Custoza wine: fresh, fruity, savory and slightly aromatic. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its full structure and mineral notes with determination.
Custoza San Michelin Gorgo This reserve of Custoza is intense and structured, but at the same time soft and harmonious, also balanced in the alcohol content. The following factors influence the final quality of the product: the particularly stony and calcareous soils of the farm, the late harvest (2nd or 3rd week of October), the more complex vinification with thermo-conditioned fermentation. Grapes: Garganega, Cortese, Riesling. Cultivation and yield: Archetto - 100q/ha Vinification: After a late harvest, maceration on the skins for at least 20/25 hours at a controlled temperature. Refinement: 6 months in steel tanks and 3 months in the bottle. Color: Intense straw yellow with brilliant reflections. Bouquet: Winy, slightly aromatic but persistent, notes of ripe fruit and citrus. Taste: Dry without harshness, soft texture, full-bodied with good final harmony. Pairings: Risotto based on vegetables, raw or grilled fish and shellfish, delicate main courses. HISTORICAL DATA: The Gorgo winery was founded in 1973. There are about 60 hectares of vineyards and all in organic conversion. The company headquarters includes a central body in the old farmhouse and the new, very modern and functional cellar.
