Chardonnay Riserva Vigna Crivelli Alto Adige DOC 2021 - Peter Zemmer

The Chardonnay Riserva "Vigna Crivelli", from the South Tyrolean cellar of Peter Zemmer, is produced with a selection of the best vineyards of the estate, grown in the Bassa Atesina, in the hilly area around the small town of Magré. It is an interpretation that aims to be the synthesis between the mountainous character of the area and the vinification and aging techniques that look back to the great Burgundian tradition. Particularly rich and ripe grapes, and extensive use of wood, make it possible to obtain a harmonious wine full of aromas, which combines the varietal character of Chardonnay with more evolved scents. Excellent to be enjoyed immediately, it is a white that also has good aging potential.The Riserva "Vigna Crivelli" by Peter Zemmer is made only and exclusively with grapes from the vineyards grown in the company cru of the same name. It is a parcel characterized by the presence of soils composed of sands and moraine debris rich in limestone. The climate is influenced by the presence of breezes that descend from the mountains and by the Ora del Garda, which always keep the grapes dry and guarantee excellent temperature ranges between day and night temperatures. The grapes are cold macerated and then sent for soft pressing. The must ferments in small French oak barrels. The wine always ages in wood for a period of 12 months and completes the refinement with a few months in steel and then in the bottle, before being marketed.“Vigna Crivelli” Zemmer is a Chardonnay of particular richness and aromatic density, the result of the desire to make a great South Tyrolean wine, with a soft, enveloping profile and a decidedly international vocation. It has a light yellow color with brilliant golden reflections. On the nose it seduces with a particularly large and mature bouquet, with aromas of yellow fruit, citrus peel, tropical fruit, hints of vanilla and floral nuances. Persuasive and soft on the palate, it is distinguished by a rich and complex sip, which closes with a fresh, balanced and persistent finish.
