NOTES Blackthorn is the name of Prunus Spinosa, a decorative shrub that grows near the vineyards. Its blue-purple berries ripen in autumn, around the time of the harvest. Obtained from the noble Nebbiolo grape, it is a still wine, product of a careful selection of grapes from the terraces of Valtellina Superiore. Aged in small oak barrels, it is extremely enjoyable since its youth.
AGING It takes place, for a period of approximately twelve months, in the barriques in which the Sfursat Fruttaio Ca 'Rizzieri has previously been aged. It is then assembled in stainless steel tanks and left to refine in the bottle for nine months before being marketed.
