TYPE OF SOIL The soils, always of alluvial origin, have different characteristics from the rest of the company, presenting very distinct sandy and clayey areas.
AGE OF VINEYARDS 50 years
VINIFICATION After destemming and soft pressing, the grapes are left to ferment in oak vats filled to no more than two thirds of their capacity, using indigenous yeasts. Fermentation lasts about 10 days at controlled temperatures from 27 to 31 degrees. Short pumping over is carried out in the initial phase and manual punching down of the cap. In some cases, maceration continues for another 7/10 days after fermentation.

BOUQUET Notes of mulberry and sour cherries open to hints of Mediterranean scrub, cinnamon, licorice root, aromatic herbs.
PAIRINGS It is recommended to accompany first courses with meat sauce, roasted or grilled meat. Also excellent with mushroom-based dishes and aged cheeses, such as Pecorino Romano and Parmigiano Reggiano. Ideal to accompany the classic Christmas guinea fowl.
TASTE When tasted, power and elegance blend perfectly. Full, balanced by an impeccable tannic texture, it closes with a practically infinite finish for persistence. Fantastic.
NOTES Nocio dei Boscarelli comes from a plot of about three hectares planted in 1972 not far from the cellar. A careful selection of the bunches is followed by vinification in small wooden vats and subsequent maturation in large French oak barrels. The demonstration of how much Sangiovese is able to express when it comes from such highly suited areas.
AGING The individual Cuvée del Nocio are aged separately in Slavonian or French oak with a capacity ranging from 5 to 10 hl. The maturation lasts from 18 to 24 months. The final cut is made at the end of maturation using different percentages of the individual Cuvée according to the characteristics of the harvest. The wine refines in the bottle for about a year before being marketed.
