Classification: CALABRIA IGP Typology: red; Bottles Produced: 75,000 Territory: the origin of the grapes from which red Terrano is obtained is exclusively regional, hilly areas are preferred, with an average altitude of 400-500 meters. asl; Grapes: pure Gaglioppo; Cultivation method: traditionally sapling; Harvest period: from the end of September to mid-October; Vinification: soft pressing and maceration with the skins; Fermentation: in steel with controlled temperatures; Aging: in steel for about six months, then three months in the bottle; ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS Colour: intense ruby red, with purplish reflections when young; Bouquet: intense and persistent, clear ripe red fruit and hints of blackberries and currants; Flavour: fresh and fruity, it is a very pleasant, soft, moderately tannic wine; Gastronomic Pairings: particularly recommended with regional dishes such as gnocchi with hare sauce, grilled pork chops and medium-aged pecorino cheese from Crotone, excellent with cured meats and sausages; Service temperature: serve at 18-20 °C. Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
