Trend of the 2015 vintage | The excellent seasonal performance made it possible to obtain grapes of excellent quality that characterize a great 5 year stars. The excellent levels of maturation in terms of color extractability and the high sugar content has generated a wine with great structure, ideal for long evolutions. |
Harvest | Occurred at the end of September; the hand-picked grapes were selected and placed in special boxes, in order to preserve the integrity of the berry during the short journey to the cellar. |
Vinification | Conducted with native yeasts in steel tanks at a controlled temperature (25-30°C), in order to preserve the typical bouquet of Dudda's Sangiovese. The maceration lasted 15-18 days |
Maturation | In small-capacity (lt.225) French oak barrels for about 18 months. |
Bottling | Occurred without treatments of any kind or filtrations. |
Aging in the bottle | Long aging in the underground cellar a natural and constant temperature and humidity. |
Color | Intense ruby red, with a strong anthocyanin concentration. |
Perfume | Powerful, concentrated in its polyphenolic endowment, marked hints of berries, nuances of vanilla and spicy notes in the finish that will find greater progression in the very long evolutionary path. |
Taste | With a qualifying coherence, the complexity of the nasal sensations is confirmed in the mouth, amplified in intensity, consistency and persistence. No less is the elegance, however today expressed in the characters of youth, which will find complete expression in a now announced harmony. |
