DENOMINATION: Colli Aprutini Rosso IGT VARIETY: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbech, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot VINEYARD EXPOSURE: Towards South/South-West on a slight slope at 200 meters slm level in the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi COMPOSITION OF THE SOIL: Slightly alkaline silty soil rich in texture YIELD PER HECTARE: 60 quintals HARVEST: Manual with selection of the grapes in the vineyard VINIFICATION AND AGING: The grapes harvested in the different harvesting periods are subjected to immediate crushing-destemming. This is followed by the fermentation of the must in contact with the skins for 12-15 days. After racking and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in new or second passage barriques for a period of 18 months. Further refinement in the bottle follows for another 2 years. The wine is produced only in the best vintages APPEARANCE: Ruby red tending towards garnet NOSE: ample, intense and persistent bouquet of warm aromas and candied fruit TASTE: Soft and structured with a typical aftertaste of green pepper, spices and violet ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5% vol.
