Only a truly exceptional harvest can give life to Castello Romitorio's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. Since its foundation in 1984, Castello Romitorio has produced only 10 vintages of this precious wine. The rigorous selection of the grapes destined for the reserve takes place among the oldest vines located in the area north of Montalcino. Each single segment of the vineyard is monitored throughout the vegetative development, the most suitable sections are then chosen, the vines of which are looked after with extreme care, in order to ensure that the fruit reaches optimal ripeness.

This wine maintains a consistency as amazing as it is disarming from one vintage to the next. As a Reserve, he has already had plenty of time to become himself, to show his sincere soul: we find difficult terrain, freezing winters and hot sun, we find wild nature and something epic that the years cannot tarnish or alter. He is strong and muscular. This wine is, that's all. The warmth of the alcohols contrasts the decisive acidity, the tannins, indestructible and decisive, retain their inflexible aftermath. Dried notes of morello cherries still linger. With aging the more savory notes increase: of salt, herbs, earth. For me, all of this means one thing: sincerity
