Solus Toscana Rosso IGT 2018 - Pianirossi

Solus is a structured wine produced with grapes from 45% Montepulciano, 45% Sangiovese, and 10% Alicante vines, from the Pianirossi company.This project was brought to life by an idea of Stefano Sincini, who had been fascinated by the Maremma hills since he was a boy while studying in Siena, so the desire to create his own label in those places gradually grew in him unforgettable.Solus is aged in small French oak barrels for 12 months. Its color is an intense purple. The predominant aroma is the fruity one of blackberries and wild berries, which then opens up to spicy tones.Round and full wine, with a structure of great character and quality, with a persistent finish and excellent capacity for maturation. It offers its best served as an accompaniment to roasts, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses.
