Soil type: medium-textured, tending towards calcareous. First year of production: 1998. Vinification and aging: fermented for about 10 days in oak vats at temperatures around 30°C. Subsequently it is partially aged in French oak barriques and in large Slavonian oak barrels for up to 18 months. Notes: the excellent exposures and the very low yields give excellent grapes which allow to obtain a wine with a remarkable complexity. Barbera is truly an important vine capable of giving sensational results: with this selection, dedicated to grandfather Giuseppe (in dialect "Gisep"), our company offers one of his best creations.
