Barbera d'Alba is a great classic of the Piedmontese tradition
DOC is round, straightforward, vinous, perfect for pairings with
typical local cuisine.
Barbera d'Alba DOC is a typical wine of our area, the queen of tables
of Langhe.
We have chosen the vinification in steel only to underline its notes
fruity. This Barbera is presented on the market in spring
following the harvest.
Soil type: medium-textured, tending towards calcareous.
First year of production: 1896.
Vinification and ageing: fermented for 10-12 days in stainless steel a
temperatures around 30°C. Malolactic fermentation and a short refinement follow
always in stainless steel; it is usually bottled and marketed in the
spring of the year following the thousandth of production.
Notes: thanks to the accurate selections, the excellent exposures and the very low yields yes
they obtain high quality grapes that give very complex wines. With this
product we want to propose the typicality of traditional Barbera: intriguing
freshness, good body and a long finish.
Tasting characteristics
Appearance: intense purplish red.
Nose: elegant, sweet and captivating, the intense and fruity notes emerge
characteristics of Barbera.
On the palate: vinous, fresh and well balanced. It is an easy to drink wine and not
excessively demanding but at the same time tasty and rich. It is advisable
drink it at a temperature of 18-20°C. It goes perfectly with the kitchen of
Langhe and generally very tasty dishes. Excellent with first courses of pasta, rice and
soups, braised or grilled red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
Also perfect as an aperitif glass with appetizers and cold cuts.
