Careful vinification aims to make it softer and rounder, accentuating it
the drinkability.
Soil type: medium-textured, tending towards calcareous.
First year of production: 1896.
Vinification and ageing: fermentation and maceration in medium stainless steel tanks
duration (7-9 days) at a controlled temperature of around 30°C. They follow the
malolactic fermentation and a few months aging in stainless steel and cement.
Notes: to this vine which typically offers freshness and fragrance in the perfumes,
the Serralunga soils also give it a great structure.
Tasting characteristics
Appearance: deep ruby red with intense violet reflections.
On the nose: fresh, fruity, sweet and edible aromas dominate
elegant.
On the palate: ample and warm entry which then opens up into multiple flavors that can be traced back
to a rich and concentrated wine. Naturally the fruity and vinous prevail
they leave a long and pleasant aftertaste. It is advisable to serve it to one
temperature of 18-20°C. Wine for the whole meal "by tradition" of the Langhe. AND
also perfect for snacks based on cured meats and cheeses or to open the meal
with land dishes and cold cuts. Pasta-based first courses, risottos, soups and
red meats, especially grilled ones, enhance its good body and flavor
pleasant drinkability.
