This version of Barbaresco Bera takes its name from the Serraboella hill, located in the Municipality of Neive, particularly suited to the production of noble, elegant, long-lived wines. It has a bright ruby color with orange hues, the flavor is robust and full, with spicy sensations. An excellent Barbaresco, complete and characteristic, which lends itself to accompany important dishes based on meat and game. Thanks to its longevity, it can also become a collector's item, which will be able to give us strong emotions even after twenty-five years!
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Vineyard exposure: west.
Soil type: white soil, clayey limestone with veins
of sand.
Training system: Guyot.
Harvest: the grapes, having reached maturity, are harvested
and selected manually to ensure the highest quality
and the maximum integrity of the berry. Timely is the transport to the cellar.
Vinification: After destemming and pressing the must is
sent to ferment with the skins still inside, from which thanks
to the heat developed by the fermentation, to the alcohol that gradually builds up
produces and with a long contact time, the colour, the tannin,
the varietal scent and all the substances that blend together
they will be the result of this wine. The maceration, depending
of the vintage can last from 15 to 30 days.
Refinement: the wine, after the alcoholic fermentation and subsequently
to malolactic fermentation, it matures in oak barrels for a
period not less than 36 months. Bottling follows
controlled atmosphere. The overall minimum aging provides
2 years from 1 January following the harvest.
