CLASSIFICATION: Nuragus di Cagliari DOC. ORIGIN: The grapes for Pedraia are the result of a careful selection of the best vineyards planted on the hills of the lower Sulcis, with the oldest variety of Sardinia, the Nuragus. SOIL COMPOSITION: Soils tendentially of medium texture, clayey and sandy. GRAPES: Nuragus 100%. CLIMATE: Hot-arid in summer, temperate in winter. HARVEST PERIOD: Nuragus grapes are the last white grapes to be harvested around the first, second decade of October. VINIFICATION: The Nuragus must obtained from a “soft” pressing of the grapes is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
