Sensory notes

Color: Intense ruby red with garnet notes. Nose: Flowers, toasted nuts, coffee and cocoa beans. Flavor: Sensual, intense and remarkably persistent, it confirms the floral and toasted notes and reveals pleasant hints of spices, licorice and tobacco.

Harvest

Manual selection of the grapes harvested from 20 to 30 October in an ancient vineyard of over 40 years in Colonella and Controguerra with optimal exposure and low yield. The terroir guarantees these grapes daily temperature ranges which, together with the farming techniques used on the farm, emphasize the typical aromas of aged Montepulciano d'Abruzzo red wine .

Vinification

The wine is fermented exclusively in thermo-conditioned steel vats. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in used barriques for 18 months and then refines in the bottle for at least 12 months.
